I agree, moonchild7. People wonder why today's students are not learning and we are falling way behind in education. With these young girls wearing next to nothing to school sitting next to young men with their hormones raging, is it any wonder they learn very little? Some people can't even dress up or conservatively to go to church on Sunday. These young people will have a rude awakening when they go to interviews to try and obtain employment if they think that casual dress is appropriate in any venue.

Why don't you all put your pictures up so we can see how many of you are "fat, old and ugly." I keep hoping that maybe there can be some intelligent and respectful dialog in these blogs, but I guess there will just continue to be more and more rude and obnoxious banter. I wonder, CT, if you would post what you post if your Mother were reading it. Certain things really don't need to be discussed. Of course, you can hide behind your computer and post all kinds of things you would never say in person. You expect this kind of talk from young people, but I assume some posters here do not fall into the young category.
Supervised drinking? That is just condoning something that kids should not be doing in the first place. Especially considering many children are not mature enough to not drink and drive. How many kids get killed every week on the highways? Don't tell me that many have not been drinking.
It is interesting to read how others feel about current events or issues. However, the know-it-all, one-upmanship and name calling reduces things to a playground atmosphere. Some appear to spend much of their time on the blogs ramming their opinions down other posters' throats or making rude and insulting remarks. DR is one of the individuals that makes it unpleasant for some to join in on discussions. It is too bad that some have to make it unpleasant for others that would like to engage.
James, I am definitely NOT naive. I worked in the legal system (also assisting a DA) for years and I know how the legal system works. The system has always been more concerned and bent over backwards with protecting the criminals and less being concerned with the victims.
