I've read too many of these inane, superficial, and prejudicial comments by this guy "expatriate" since the Pilot initiated the comment capability. His comments on this thread are really sick. Get a life, fella.
Some people will, but it's hard to criticize recondo's vigilante approach to stopping this thief. He was protecting and safeguarding his property as best he could at the time; that's his right and he exercised it. He didn't foment the crime; the scumbag thief did. Of course, some ACLU advocate or bleeding heart liberal will now raise the roof claiming the "poor" thief was not granted due process. To that I say if there's a good bumper remaining on recondo's car - let's refer them!
How in the world did responses to an article on a commercial real estate Chapter 11 filing morph into much of the nonsense written above? Some people must feel the need for a pulpit; some others must have forgotten to take their meds this morning. As to spell check, nothing beats paying attention in grammar school and using a dictionary in years subsequent.
Birnster - in many ways, I agree. The published interview Rep. Coble did with a Pilot reporter a week or two ago was anything but inspiring. He's served this district well for many years for which we owe him our thanks but the old boy network he was part of is rapidly becoming passe. It may be time for new ideas and fresh faces.
It's clear that someone believes this is an awful, awful place to live. Makes you wonder if it was just as bad on the Island of Maui.
Colesue 21 makes some "interesting" observations. Let me make sure I understand this. I am a senior, I pay dues to the health club, but I must tailor my hours to suit the schedule of Ms. Multi-Tasking Wonderwoman because, after all, I have nothing better to do during the rest of the day. Methinks her spandex which holds it all in has suffocated her thinking. Get a life, Sweetie - there's room for everybody - including you.
