Have you called the county office for these numbers? I encourage you to do so. 410,000 of this 500,000 are salaries, this coming straight from the horses mouth. 410,000 also includes a number of assistant teachers that will not have a job next year. There is no way that 3 cafeteria ladies, 2 secretaries,and 2 bus drivers salaries equal to 500,000. I encourage everyone to do their research!

Are you saying that folks in Taylortown are to uneducated to know how to get their kids in this school. I think that is an unfair assumption on your part.
I personally know kids from Taylortown that go and have gone to AH, so I don't believe that. I think that someone needs to break that 500,000.00 down and show how much is really going to be saved? Salaries, utilities, maintenance, etc. Out of this 500,000.00 how many of these teachers will be hired to teach in other locations? Does this figure include assistant teachers? If you say they're getting rid of 8 assistants thats atleast a 80,000.00 savings! I think all schools are getting rid of assistants except for K-1. If this school closes, what will be the costs to board it up or demolish it? You cannot just lock a door and walk away. There is alot to look at! You have to look at the bigger picture. I don't think we have enough information to assume that the county is going to save this much money.
sunshine5888- If anyone can call and report something of this matter than I think its too bad we don't have canorton33's real name so that she can be turned in for allowing her 14yr old to hang out with a registered sex offender. That is child negligence! I think Doug is filling your head with hot air! Really, do you really think he was riding around with his buddy asleep? That is a lame excuse! There was another freak arrested at Cannon about a year ago. He would go into the boys bathroom over and over again! My friend walked in and he was masturbating. Sicko! He was finally caught. So, be sure that you keep an eye on your child when they go into the bathrooms. You just never know! Also, be careful when you have a yard sale. The neighbor sex offender showed up at mine! I had toys and childrens clothing listed in my ad. I will never have a yard sale again! I called the cops and they told me if I saw him drive near my house again to call them and they would take care of it. He is a 3rd degree aggravated offender which means the judge felt like he is likely to reoffend.
