tgirl, I think you mean Dale Frye.
I can only imagine what could be accomplished by the devoted parents and teachers of AHE, WPE,& PHE! Now would be the time for all of you guys to pull together and fight for the proper funding for Moore Co schools. I feel that before any school gets closed or crowded cuts should come from the top. There are too many people in the county office. Maybe if there weren't so many Dr. Purser would know important information about her schools without having to look at a colleague for answers!
It isn't my war. The other parents may have been articulate and respectful, but you are lacking both. The BOE are the ones who had Dr. Purser revise her plan, that is how it works. As in my previous comment to you should take your anger out on the BOE and Dr. Purser and not AHE.
You have to remember that the AHE school didn't create this dual track! Dr Purser and the BOE did. You should make your battle with them and not AHE!
Fmbd, only one person spoke against the cuts of the pull out programs a couple of weeks ago at the public hearing and it wasn't you! If you feel this strongly about them you should've spoken. You can't wait until the vote is over and then start ranting. Those programs were on the budget proposal along with the closing of AHE and other things. As far as someone being quiet, I assume you are speaking about the AHE parents. What else was there left for them to say?
WPEMom, why aren't you guys getting more time? Was this from the county office or the school board? Strange! Why are they in such a rush?
What was the reason for not giving you more time? Was this from the county office or school board? Why the rush?
If year round is voted in or not it is still going to affect WPE or PHE. Both schools will be crowded and there will not be enough room for growth. I can only imagine what the pick up and drop off lines will be like at WPE with 100 more cars. Imagine what it will be like on 211 once the road construction starts!
How do you feel about construction for a book and storage area for $150,000 at the county office?
Is this the same Matthew Harmody whose kids were or are being home schooled? It is to my understanding that you weren't happy with the education at Sou Pines schools. Why the change of heart? I am in no way knocking home schooling, if you can do it then kudos to you! I just think your letter is pretty opinionated for someone who doesn't think Sou Pines school is up to par for their own kids.
