Yes, there are facts and then there is spin. Snopes too has been exposed as a partisan and therefore not reliable as a 'fact checker'. The 'fact' that the Obama admin has bailed out otherwise NGO's should be pause for all of us. To get over it is vote them out and put independents back as independents and not dependents. Sink or swim on your own, be competitive or fail! Socialism has never worked and yet Elitists continue to believe, Narcissistically, that they can improve on the system and make everyone's life better. Well, how much did you pay for it? Why do you think you should receive an egregiously high profit on your home. It is an inflated market and one in which we need oversight. It used to be a measurable appreciation in the real estate market some years back and then......along came the black hole theorists and they, along with the socialists; Carter and Clinton, invented the derivatives to profit from a clear effort to disenfranchise legitimate home owners. Most owners today pay their mortgages, only those on both ends of the spectrum; low, those who never should have qualified for a loan in the first place, and high, speculators/flippers stopped paying their mortgages. Go after them and the market will straighten out.....oh, and get the go'mint out of everything. Values of homes will then go up at an appreciable rate commensurate with a reasonable profit margin.

It is clear to me, and others I hope, that we have been overvalued for many many years. In CA alone their real estate values rose at over 21% for many years, even up to 10. Secondly, there is much to much cooperation between lenders and realtors since it is in both of their interest to raise and to keep the values artificially high based on a forecast. Even if I wanted to sell my home at a price which I considered fair and it was below what the 'organizations' want according to their stats as to what homes in that area sold for over the last x period, they would not represent me. The problem becomes hard when you must move from one high area to another high area. But if you move from here to Vidor, TX, you could sell low here and still get a mansion there. Poor example you say, out of touch, or just touched. Well maybe, but we are overvalued in everything not just homes. If we built IPODs here they would cost 5K, according to a well known talk jock, so they are built in China for 300 to 500. We can not compete for any of our products in the world due to over valuation. Some of the blame for this can be put on unions and their outlandish demands for more, more and more which are backed by those who they support: politicians.
It is good to hear that those who suggest that those in Muslim garb may not be bad. In fact those in Muslim garb who are male and who have a beard need not be feared. Only clean shaven Muslim males will kill themselves. Those who are paying attention should also fear those whose pants are below their butt cheeks when they get on a plane as they are angry about something just as clean shaven Muslims are. Thus profiling could save a lot of lives. Pragmatism in the face of political correctness will begin the process of self determination and preservation of lives......maybe. There are few on this list who spent their careers in the defense of democracy through uniformed service or civilian intelligence service, that is clear.

Add Juan Williams to the debate now for stating the obvious; Muslims, or those who dress like them, on airplanes make him nervous - me too. When I am walking down the street and I see those whose pants are below their butt cheeks, I am nervous since they are angry about something and inviting public critique. So if you look, you could be a victim of their rage. The left wants to take over and redistribute everything; that should work out well for everyone, right.......wrong. We do need tweeking in many areas of our democracy but not an overhaul. They are rioting in Greece and France and soon in Germany. What do they want, they are out of money and can no longer give something which will soon be worthless. We are headed in that direction my friends. Bring back the draft, everyone should serve. Welfare for one year only, then get a job. Unemployment compensation for one year, then get a job. We can only be our brother's keeper for so long before all of our values are diminished. Make those who achieve pay for those who don't, the sort of stuff that will culminate in civil unrest to beat the band.......and so on.
