This a great idea if there is a plan. As a parent, I am constantly horrified by the neglect of the students in Moore County when technology is introduced - from watching dumb movies to incomplete emails to missing homework assignments and poorly made schedules. If the teachers have not been incorporated into the plan then the tecnology will be useless - the kids will just be playing dumb games and watching stupid videos.
These folks at Sandhills 10 cannot even start a movie on time or coordinate the dimming of the lights with a film. God help them if an IMAX system is installed.
I hope we did not pay too much for that "plan". Does not look like it took too much work - that said, I like the open area.
Since this dialectic tennis tournament seems to have only 5 or so players we may have a bigger problem here: It might be that not many people are reading online local newspapers at all.
I surrender on this one as I am clearly outnumbered.
I do not believe that I called for "inflammatory rhetoric". I desire nothing of the sort.
clarabelle - personal attacks - Nice!
I do not want political dribble. I just feel that the only legimate forum for local issues is our local paper and that dedicating so much front page space for a creative writing exercise is not in the best interest of the community. Dodson is clearly a good writer and I think we wold be better served if he focused his skills on the issues at hand - ones relating to our community written by one of our gifted residents. That is the more powerful combination.
I apologize if your subtlety has been alluding me recently.
Dodson! For crying out loud. Can't you write about something relevant? Do you not have any concerns or positions regarding important issues in this county? I know you are the resident writer, and your pieces are not intended to slap us in face but the forum you have should allow you to present a topic which reflects on the issues facing this community. You should know, as well as anyone, what is at stake here.
Well, I will vote against all incumbents. This is ridiculous and will only continue to facilitate our stagnate property values in this county.
