It's interesting to very selectively use the Bible as a bludgeon against gays. Leviticus 11 prohibits eating pork, shellfish and other things. Kind of makes that bacon and eggs Church breakfast kind of iffy. Leviticus 12 outlines how you should act during and after childbirth. I don't see anyone from 1st Baptist following any of these guide lines. Why anti gay and not any of the other things?
This story brought back some memories for me. My youngest son once took out a mail box a when he lost control of his car. Although his car was almost totaled he was unhurt. The next day we went to the homeowner and took care of replacing the mail box. Accidents happen. How you deal with the aftermath matters.
The Pilot was right to endorse someone for the Presidency, in the same way, they were right to endorse individuals for any of the positions for which they were running. I agree with some of their endorsements, I disagreed with others. So it goes. For the author of this letter to disallow the Pilot's right and responsibility to express their view point is totally un-American. I say this with out knowing the answer, but I would not be surprised if Mr. Weber likes to hand out copies of the Constitution even though he doesn't really know what it stands for and likes to wear funny hats from a couple of centuries ago.
For the person saying the 47% comment was a carefully edited "sound bite moment" , I disagree. If you listen to the entire speech Romney virtually says that he has no regard nor cares about anyone in none in need. It was not until the blow back that he even began to mention being a President for all.
If he has a real plan, what is it? So far he talks a lot about a plan with no details or numbers. It's sad
Do you follow the Bible verses dealing with disobedient children, menstruating family members and dietary issues with equal intensity? How do you decide what to actually believe, wink at or totally ignore? I'm not being snotty here. Why is the gay issue worth fighting for but not any of these other things?
This will be my last comment on Amendment One, in that respect Redneck is right, rare but true. It is time to move on. Unfortunately for Redneck and the rest of the people that think just having a majority makes it ok to discriminate. It's not. We fought a Civil War to stop Redneck's kind of thinking. Redneck give it up. You lost.
This is a very good point. Getting more energy out of the ground is potentially a very good thing. If it comes at the expense of our water supply, which is already under great pressure you have to really wonder if it is worth it.

One-Sided View
