Tommy Davis and the 911 tape
I posted a comment about too much personal info (telephone #) being released on audio posted by Pilot on the 911 story. That was totally inappropriate regardless of who was on the tape.

Sheriff's Office Releases 911 Tape in Call Involving State Senate Candidate
The audio works now. I do not think it is appropriate to play the phone # for this call.

Pinehurst Police: 22 Unlocked Cars Entered, Items Taken
No one was ever caught & arrested in our case. My guess the majority of these go unsolved.

Pinehurst Police: 22 Unlocked Cars Entered, Items Taken
theoldguy, how did they get into your vehicle? We are also in Pinehurst and the first week of December there were at least 6-7 vehicles off of Monticello that were broken into (almost all had their windows broken out because they were locked). It did not make The Pilot news. Our vehicle's window was shattered. In one case, two cars in one driveway had their windows broken to get to a backpack and another briefcase in a very visible well lit driveway. I agree with earlier posts. A sting should be considered by Pinehurst Police Dept in collaboration with other area police depts - especially considering the frequency these type of breakins are occurring. At least increase patrols of our neighborhoods. We have a new chief in PH. I hope he is reading these posts. Our issue was not just theft, but destruction of property.
