I still maintain that wells should not be THE plan. It can be a component but wells offer short term solutions. They are not the answer. The plan might include wells or it might not. The fact is that it is silly to rely solely on them as a viable water source.
The real question we should ask is how are we going to have enough water for everyone in the long term. An important element must be cobservation.
I completely agree with "dirtundermynails" regarding water resources and that aquifer is not unlimited. We need a county water system that provides water to all of Moore County coupled with technologies that conserves water. We can't just drill baby drill for anything (oil or water) indefinitely. I am not saying that they can't be part of the plan, just that it can't be THE plan. We can either be leaders in how we address the water situation in Moore county or we will PAY and PAY the price in the future. Prices will go p in the short term if new infustructure is put in..... However it will be less than if we respond later.
Sooooo all old people have Alzheimers? Or do we just stereotypically attribute that to older people as an attempt to make a cruel joke? I doubt many other congressman (even the old ones) are as sharp as Coble.
While it may be ironic for me to say this but since when have young people been celebrated as better representatives? There are positives to young and older elected officials but getting someone young in here is hardly a valid argument for wanting Coble out.
I had the pleasure of attending his press conference where he announced his re-election. He looked as good as ever and I think that he is wanting to help transition of solidifying the new district. He has done a fantastic job as our representative.
While I see the merit in term limits, I can not fault Mr. Coble from running again. Had he not been the outstanding representative that he has been I would think differently. The fact is....he represents the voters of the (former) 6th district well. It doesn't matter if he was in there 2 years or 20 years.... he is voting the way the majority of this district feels is the right way. What his long tenure does bring is seniority which, for better or worse, means something in the House. Thank you Mr. Coble for your service!

Robbins Board Accepts Manager's Resignation, Terms
I think that this is the right move at this time. We need an aggressive and job-orented manger!
I wish Mr. Hayfield the best and hope that Robbins can attract a highly qualified, innovative manager who knows his way around RALEIGH! (yup)
