Wonderful column Kimberly! I hope we will someday be considered native by choice.
You folks need to get out of the house more often. Both sides.
Do most hunters wear bullet proof jock straps? Just asking cause you folks who have nothing better to do than jump on Bigguy for wanting to address this pretty important issue seem to be arguing in favor of greater regulation. If we cannot know if someone has sanity issues or is overwhelmed by Jody Foster in a bathing suit than we might want to keep an eye on everything that is available to all of us.
James Holmes was not protecting his home, hunting deer or heading out to the firing range. He is the embodiment of your greatest argument, but here is the kicker. Gun advocates always neglect to reference the first few words of the second amendment. You all rattle on about the right to "keep and bear arms" but conveniently omit the phrase "well regulated militia." Not just any old militia, but a well regulated one
James holmes with all of his body armor, tear gas canisters and small arsenal had very much become a one man man militia. Because regulations have been opposed by well meaning folks, like some of you, 13 people are dead, seventy are wounded and all of us are a little less free.
You people are unbelievable. This is how you welcome the new editor? It is why I try not to write about politics...it is why I left politics. No one is listening.
Actually Bill Clinton very much raised the race issue in South Carolina. He is by no means a racist but certainly tried raise racial fears to help his wife beat Obama. It was reprehensible.
No I believe the letter writers were suggesting violence toward them for disagreeing Obama. I said no such thing and as for claiming Ms. Bachman never made hose comments, it was in a radio interview on March 23rd of last year.
