Best of luck! Enjoy! Looking forward to at least one book, maybe 2 . Bet you could share some interesting stories from a ministers wife viewpoint. Will miss you.
Peterprints, Thank you for you comments and observations. I'm sure that you have given many food for thought. We all should be thankful for those who choose to serve & protect. My sympathy to the Seabolt family.
Thank You Mr Sinclair, This should never be forgotten. If the chemical companies knew enough to vent to the outside surely someone must have thought the fume
es harmful. No parent should ever have to lose a child due others greed or ignorance!
Just saying--Maybe some of the folks who are considering buying in the new housing development near the Cardinal & Taylor Chemical sites will become aware of the possible contaminates and reconsider! Surely no developer or real estate person
n would make potential buyers aware. Just saying.
Come out of your ivory tower Mr. McSwain. Come to the real world! Watch people in the grocery store,
pick up a package of meat, check the price & put it back in the counter, or che
ck the price of a name brand detergent and then place a no name brand in the
shopping cart. Heard a lady ask if I write a check today for groceries when will it get to my bank. Reason being I don't have money in my account today but it will be there on such & such day.
Patients call the doctors office and ask can my doctor call in a prescription to my pharmacy. Reason being I don't have gas to drive to visit the doctor. Listen and you will people question themselves, Do I pay the electric bill, buy medications or groceries this week? Overheard one lady say that she never fills her gas tank anymore hoping that it might be cheaper the next day..
All of the above I witnessed last week. The people in the examples are people who have or are working and just can't make ends meet or have exhausted savings accounts.
Mr McSwain Poverty is alive & thriving in Moore County.
Thank You Ms Gilkeson for this article. and to the editors of The Pilot, this should have been FRONT PAGE .
Store is being built in Southern Pines. Do you think all the Spanish speaking construction workers live in Robbins? I doubt it. Who knows Kohls might welcome Spanish speaking employees and customers.
