The military trains us to be efficient and to CYA (cover your a_ _ ). we are never taught to blindly rely on the word of others, but instead to investigate everything. The Carico's are in a very unfortunate position but it is due entirely to their own ignorance and lack of preparation for a purchase of this magnitude. It was a very low tactic for the Caricos and the Pilot to accentuate the fact that he is military to push their agenda.

judyw, as a military member we are taught above all CYA. It is ridiculous in this day and age to rely on anyone elses honesty and/or kindness. I am shocked that a military member overlooked so many indicators and did so little research on such a major purchase. Serving our country is a choice and a privilege. Not something we do because we expect a return. We are highly trained and continuously educated so that we can think and react properly in any situation. Although the Caricos situation is unfortunate it is due almost entirely to their poor judgment and ignorance.
