We tried in Seven Lakes to work with what we had. Our long time manager really did us no favors over the years by allowing previous boards to ignore our growing problems. We had him fired almost when I was on the board, but a late defection and then a betrayal of another would not allow us to get to our 4 votes needed to fire him.
I tried to do my best while I was on the Board. That is also the reason why I have not ever jumped back in.
As for the Feds if you do not ask for it, then they will not send it. If enough groups started not requesting money from the Feds then maybe we could get our country back on a responsible fiscal track.
