Another career? There's nothing wrong with a military career and to get accepted to a top 5 school like West Point is great accomplishment. My son is trying to get into the Air Force Academy. Good job and good luck.

I extend my congratulations to President Obama. I did like what he said in his acceptance speech....(paraphrased) "Whether you voted for me or not, I did hear you." and Romney telling his supporters to support the president. That's what I'm sick of. The hate. It's gotten so ugly. It's not the Republican or the Democratic presidents that are tearing this country apart, it's the vile hatred and nastiness that their supporters spew. Please, please, we can't build up until we build together.

Just because it was a JV game does not make any difference to those kids on the field. The sense of pride and accomplishment that my son came home with cannot be denied just because it was a JV game. It has meaning to the players.
Are there plan or pictures of what this will look like when it's done? My son goes to Pinecrest HS and that's my regular route to get him there, so, I guess he's going to have to get up a little earlier next year.
For those of you that keep saying move to California, that state has the same amendment as the one we just passed. As a matter of fact, 29 other states do. Running away from the problem is not the solution. Fighting the good fight is.

This bypass will destroy peoples homes in southern pines and aberdeen. look at highland trails, the people that live there are part of our community, lets support them!
