As someone that has traveled around the country quite a bit, and living in a complete different area than NC, the Republican party is done for. (Hopefully) I have been a Republican for many years during my lifetime, never a Democrat, and been an Alaska Independence Party member for over 30 yrs, all l can see in this RED state, is that everyone is fed up with the Republicans. Today, there is no difference in them and the Democrats. Our system is hopelessly broken and both parties are the reason. They twist everything so that one of the other will be in power, and the real power people never change. Maybe the names change, but the basic people do not. I hope the Republicans will com e "back to the people" but hold little hope.

I wish l could claim this, but it was said many times by a good friend of mine, Joe Vogler. He ran for Governor of Alaska several times, and is buried in Dawson City Yukon Territory, not wanting to be buried under the American Flag, after seeing what was happening in our country.
Yep, I sure am glad we are not going to be subjected to that kind of laws. Our legislators have passed a bill that will allow us to possess firearms, irregardless of what the federal law says. They are still debating whether or not to arrest Federal Agents that try and take weapons from law abiding Alaskans. Hopefully other states will follow suit and put the federal government in their proper place.
My stepson just brought home a 12 ga. shotgun with a 10 round clip. I doubt there is any weapon that could do more damage than that. It is also made from black composite material, with a collapsable stock and handgrip that can make it look like an assault rifle to the untrained eye. I am glad he got it. It just adds to our level of protection in our house. I feel sure he is mentally OK and will handle this weapon with the care needed. Glad he has it.
l agree Jim Heim. Now maybe bullet making companies will see how they can make a fortune right about now, and increase production by 1000%!!!!
Hey skylinefire,m it just came to me....once again, the left is attacking the tool, not the criminal that uses it. Hell, anyone that is not otherwise precluded from gun ownership should be able to buy one without anything more than a simple background check AT MOST. Then if they use it criminally, make them pay dearly!!! Lawful gun owners are not the problem here!!!
I believe so too skylinefirepest! And they can possess them just as you and l, and if and when they use them against another human being, kill them. Period. Fast easy trial, then put them right up in the circle in Carthage and behead them, hang them from one of those big old trees, or shoot them. Period. Let everyone see it, and even televise it. Crime would take a whole new venue if we did this regularly. I am not a huge fan of capital punishment, but l have been in countries, one's in the middle east, where crime is next to nonexistent!! We could have that too.
Somebody please explain to me why a person with a twelve inch high afro, someone in the full dress of a saudi, someone in a clown suit, or someone that looks like he just got out of the tobacco field not be able to purchase a firearm from Ed's or any other gun shop if they have the correct paperwork, it is obvious that it is them, they have no other restrictions????

Jobless Rate Soars for January
I have a one word solution for the problems of NC.....MOVE!!
ND has an unemployment rate of about 3.5%. Here is a story in our paper about unemployment:

Old Party Gets Some New Blood
