Hi Kenny Cole! You are so right! I have known you for all of our lives, and I know you are a true man of God, and believe every last word of this letter. Many of the Churches of today are just as you said, all decked out to make them a thing of earthly beauty, yet they may miss the mission of what God tasked them to do. I do not attend a church these days, but grew up in that same church that you did, and I know how we were taught. We were taught to take care of the sick, and the elderly, and our parents. If churches did as you suggest, they could close almost all the nursing homes. Good letter, and God Bless you and your family. I am sorry that we missed seeing each other this winter, but hopefully soon. Seeing your parents made my trip so much better. The memories come flooding back even now of our childhood. Take care Dear Friend, and tell your folks hi from me too. Best Wishes from the still frozen north.

Hey ya'll, just know that there are places that have NO, or very little taxes!! I just went and switched a title to a pickup that I just bought from a friend for 5 grand. It cost me 15 dollars. No taxes, no registration frees, just 15 dollars for a title switch. We are so fortunate that we have no sales tax, no income tax, no vehicle tax, but we do have a minimal property tax. Ours is 11 mills. Alaska is a very fortunate place in that we have some money, and we enjoy many freedoms that America USED TO enjoy. Ya'll do have my best wishes, and hopes for better days ahead.

This has to be one of the most low-down tricks I have ever seen ANY town play on one of its neighbors!!! I am SO thankful I do not live in Pinewild, or any other place in NC, for that matter, after what has been done IN ACCORDANCE with the law! This law needs to change NOW. I still have family, and they own fairly large parcels of land, and I fear for their private ownership after seeing how this land/money grab was conducted. Pinehurst should feel the intense shame that belongs to them!! I still say, civil disobediance is one response to the village....make them regret the day they ever heard the name "Pinewild".

Expatriate, you are 100% correct. While Elizabeth was "wronged" none of us knows, really knows, what went on behind their closed doors. I think in the long run, Johnny will be the big loser in this whole affair. His wife is going to take him to the cleaners, and it looks like his hot babe has already took him there pretty well. I hope she was as good as she looks....at least you did better than Bill Clinton!!

I respect Mr. Tufts. That said, I am glad Tiger is coming back, and the ratings speak for themselves. He is the face of the PGA, and maybe it speaks of our society these days, but no matter how many women he has had, or even will have, he is the most accomplished golfer that ever picked up a club.

I went and looked at the pictures of that slut, Rielle Hunter. I am now wondering, are they selling that tape of her and Johnny? I care nothing about him, but she is smoking hot!!!! Yes, expatriate, you are right, Johnny boy has raised the bar for sure!!!

I stand corrected on the Taylortown comment. I see it was incorporated in 1988. I still have no doubt that a tax money grab was the ONLY reason they took Pinewild. My apologies on that misstatement.

I have lived in Alaska for 29 yrs, and have spoken with Sarah twice, and corresponded with her several times. She DID take on Big Oil. She confronted the Republican party and aided in starting to clean them up. She was a marvelous Governor for the first 18 months. Then came John McCain (a great American). When she went down south, she immediately started to spew the venom of the Republican party. She changed!! She changed for the worse!! After she had led us to believe for years what and who she was....she changed. She could not get elected as dogcatcher up here today. Alaskans are straight-forward, but we do not care for someone who is not what they say they are. If ya'll want her down there, please, take her....we have no use for her.

SNCA, I agree with you. It is a good thing that I am not a Pinewild resident. Pinehurst would regret the day they ever heard the name Pinewild with all of the problems my neighbors and myself would have. Civil disobediance is certainly in order is their case. I see this as landgrabbing city govts. wanting that plush tax base! You do not see them rushing out to get Jackson Hamlet, Taylortown (although they are appearantly starting to check them out more closely) and other rural or disadvantaged areas. It almost smacks of racism when viewing it from afar. Forced annexation should be stopped immediately!!!
