DO NOT DRILL!!!!! We already pay super high fuel prices, been over 4 dollars a gallon for what seems forever. In our villages, it runs around 8-10 a gallon. We would just as soon keep ours in the ground until ya'll start paying about 8 or so a gallon at the pump.....then the rush will be on to drill like never before!!!! We have the technology to do it safely and cleanly. The mention of caribou walking around the pipeline is true even to this day. That herd has also increased to historic levels, but we credit that to our preditor control measures that our State takes. I agree with all of you that do not want us to drill....leave it in the ground, we will have that boom when YA'LL are freaking out at fuel prices. Oh, and look around you.....you cannot see a thing that was not hauled by a truck at some point in time. With high priced, ultra low sulphur diesel, those prices are going to go through the roof. Shame wages wont do the same down there!!! Oh, by the way, I was born and raised in Moore County, but have lived in the interior of Alaska since 1981.

Having done that, I am very familiar with Sarah, having spoke to her on several occassions and have had correspondenace with her numerous times. When she first was elected Governor of our great State, I did not vote for her as I am not a Republican. I have belonged to the Alaska Independence Party for just shy of 3 decades. (Todd, her husband belongs to our party as well) I called her and told her how sorry l was not to have voted for her, as everything she was doing was right in line with the attitudes we have here in Alaska. When she went down to be the VP nominee, she absolutely changed. And not for the better. If ya'll would keep her down there, we would be a better place up here. We do not care for her any longer, nor could she get elected for anything here. When we say "GO SARAH" we mean we want her to GO!!! nice article Dusty.

If he wants to live with Goddesses, and snort cocaine (oh yeah, its illegal, but shouldnt be) and wants to drink whiskey all day and all night...all of that should be his personal right. If he can get every camera to show him, and every TV interviewer interview him...more power to him. I do not watch those interviews, and think he is pretty far out there. As far as l know, it is not against the law to be "out there" and living with prostitutes, or whatever they are. It should not be against the law for him to do all the drugs his body will allow, and if he dies...that is his business too. I am absolutely against the war in Iraq! We should have tried to stay out of Afghanistan. I would have tried to re-enlist if, on 9/12/2001, we would have made an all out attack on Saudi Arabia!! I am a ten year vet, and think that Columbia University should receive 0$ of federal funding. If our budget is hurting so badly, quit giving it to places that are totally UNAmerican!!

Also it drives/keeps the price of drugs so high that there is black market crime involved. That said, we have one right that we can use to protect us from these people. It is the 2nd Amendment. Folks, arm yourselves to protect what is yours and at the same time maybe get rid of some of these criminals that would do you harm.
