Biography

A world traveler, a lover of books, an entrepreneur, a mother of two great sons!

I began my travels from the time I was a young girl, when hitchhiking was still safe and a family, unknown to you, would invite you in for a meal. I'd hitchhike from my hometown to Salem and Roanoke, Virginia. As I grew older, I grew bolder; after High School I ventured across the country, with the few dollars I had saved working summers and after school. I landed in Northern California, where I settled down for a few short years. When cabin fever set in, I followed Route 101 north. I attended college in Washington, met a wonderful man; a man with the same urge, the same need and desire to travel as I had. We were most blessed financially, and thus we were able to travel to almost all those wonderful places the world has to offer; those places that are off the beaten path, places that you will not find in Frommer's....

But now we're slowing down a bit, our holidays seem fewer and farther between. But where we cannot go physically, we go through shared memories, a now well worn photo album, a book.

I have lived a most contented life, I am truly happy and fulfilled in a way I never thought possible. I have two grown sons who, after their own travels and adventures, are starting their own families. And then, the adventures will begin again...
