A judge has a right to hold the DA I'n contempt and the Bar has a right to disbar her but no Judge has a right to fire a member of another branch of government and nullify the vote of the People. This is a case of free speech, the litigation privelege and separation of powers

I read the hudge's conclusion, but what was her specific lie? And Isn't there a specific litigation privilege ?

When oil drilling is not done on federal land, Obama has nothing to do with it and the rise in oil production occurs not because of him but in spite of him.

Obama's disapproval of the keystone pipeline is one example and refusal to consider drilling off the Florida coast, the Alaska and off the California coast are clear examples of Administration bias against oil.

At the same time excessive coal regulation moves the price of energy higher. Further. as the article points out, Obama 's devaluation of the dollar means higher oil costs for everyone regardless of how much is drilled.

If cheap currency was the secret to export prosperity then Zimbabwe would be the richest country on earth. Cheap money makes imports more expensive and the American economy depends on imports. Moreover, since it makes exports cheaper to countries abroad, they do not just buy cheap manufactured goods, but buy our actual factories as well. They then export our plant and equipment as well as our technology at bargain prices.

They also outbid us for our natural resources like oil and copper. The result is seen in Africa where colonial powers and China buy not only the goods produced, but the factories which produce them. Cheap currency creates a "vassal state" controlled by countries that amass that cheap currency.

A weak dollar means inflation and poverty

Finally, Please read the research done by Our current Fed Chairman on the Great Depression. Scholars concluded long ago that its primary cause was bad policy by the Federal Reserve.

Getting off the gold standard I'n 1933 had nothing to do with ending the Depression that lasted until 1941. The depression began because of poor monetary policy by the so- called experts at the Fed, and only ended when Yamamoto attacked Pearl Harbor.

Although liiberals want you to think that Roosevelt and Morganthau saved America, history has shown that prior to World War II, they were mostly ineffective.

Compromise in and of itself is not the problem. The problem comes when the sole purpose of the compromise is to escape responsibility for the result of the compromise. In this case, the result is more debt without a budget offset. When Daniel Webster compromised he took full responsibility for the perpetuation of slavery to keep the Union in tact. Today's compromise is an effort to escape responsibility for keeping a voting base happy.

The philosophy of a Democrat compromise is similar to that used by the old Soviet Union. It is best illustrated by the pride you feel when you come home with a new car and show it to your Democrat neighbor, He surprises you by insisting the car should belong to him. You laugh and say that you bought the car. The car is yours. The neighbor then says, " O.K., let's compromise. We will share the car 50/50"

Steve is a " mench". That's a high compliment in my circle... Perhaps the highest. He kept the paper literate and open to all points of view. We will all miss his stewardship as much as we miss Sam Reagan. I hope his successor will keep standards high In the Sam Reagan tradition. The Pilot is a local institution we all appreciate.

@ yukonjohn. When the Supreme Court refers to the right to privacy they are not referring to the right to be secure in a home. They are referring to sexual and reproductive rights. Under this theory the Court has found that parents have the right to exclude grandparents from the lives of children because parents have the sole right to raise their children.

The so called right to privacy may be a good idea or a bad one but it is not foundi in the Constitution.
