My understanding is the reason she gave for resigning was so that she could make a bigger name for herself in the lower 48 states(she has for better or worse). Her politics seem to be "meat and potoato' standard conservative fair, which many polititions spout, I don't understand the unfettered anger towards her. I mean she kind of reminds of my Mother very strong and unafraid, not right all the time mind you, but a decent person. I'm not an unreasonable person, I'm sure you're not either, if she were of a different political persuasion I would feel the same way about the way she's treated.

I agree with you, I don't see how any republicans in the current field could overtake him. Maybe Christie or Condi but neither shows interest in running.
