mcg2010, I never gave my opinion on her being qualified? My understanding is the reason she gave for resigning was so that she could make a bigger name for herself in the lower 48 states(she has for better or worse). Her politics seem to be "meat and potoato' standard conservative fair, which many polititions spout, I don't understand the unfettered anger towards her. I mean she kind of reminds of my Mother very strong and unafraid, not right all the time mind you, but a decent person. I'm not an unreasonable person, I'm sure you're not either, if she were of a different political persuasion I would feel the same way about the way she's treated.

leftfield, your last sentece says it all unfortunatly. I know Condoleeza Rice is not your cup of tea (pardon pun) but with a politacal party behind her steering the narrative, how do you think she would do?

Well... on second thought at this stage of the game in 2007, I would have told you Obama would not win; the season is still early yet. We'll see.

I agree with you, I don't see how any republicans in the current field could overtake him. Maybe Christie or Condi but neither shows interest in running.

"The Republican Party is the most juvinile, hateful, bunch of bullys imaginable."

With your imagination, that's saying something.

So you believe Palin is qualified, if she were to be elected by a wide margin by the "American people". Your logic doesn't square does it?

Okay I know now from reading how Palin isn't qualified to be President (other than her age, and birthplace). How is Obama qualified again?
