This conflict is more complicated than just one link. I think you will have to work on the knowledge deficit on this issue before you can see the reality of this conflict. A peaceful Jewish state, which includes all Palestinian territories, is what the Israeli and American right-wing really wants. The two state solution is what the Israeli left and the rest of the world wants. When Hamas and Hezbollah stop firing at Israel and when Israel moves all the illegal settlers out of Palestinian territories, then the only obstacle to peace is a little bit more time to heal and forget the past. Then, maybe someday, they can even be good neighbors. That's the best I can do, fugitveguy. I'm fixing to make a pizza and I gotta run for a while.

Very true, Dusty. Most Jewish folks I know see the conflict for what it is. Not all Israelis or American Jews see things like Gene Simmons (Chaim Weitz) sees them. Thank goodness!

Thanks for that valuable Gene Simmons clip. Anyone who could come up with lyrics like, "Put your hand in my pocket; grab onto my rocket", should be taken seriously when it comes to foreign policy! Ignoring Gene's wisdom would be like ignoring E.F. Hutton's financial advice, for goodness sake! ;-)

If I really believed President Obama didn't back Israel, I would see that as a plus. Using Holocaust memories and fear to justify Israel's aggressive militant positions is beyond shameful. Like the boy who cried wolf, this tactic is no longer working on sensible people on the left or the right. I don't like the idea of Iran having illegal nuclear weapons. I don't like Israel having them, either. I don't like human beings putting each other in concentration camps, whether it be in Poland or Palestine. What I really don't like is hypocrisy and American Zionists are about as hypocritical as they come.
