I like the new format, especially seeing the Pilot in it's printed form. I always feel I'm missing something when I just get it here. It's fun seeing the pictures.

Don, what are you looking for here, some kind of war? The US doesn't represent any one religion and never should, and your suggestion to use Christianity as a focus to do something about it is no different than the radical Muslims using religion as an excuse to kill. Maybe if all these religious groups minded their own business and stopped trying to get government involved we wouldn't have such problems.

Hello Link2eternity. We've had some discussions before and I've enjoyed your teachings. I still have a problem with believing Jesus actually floated up to heaven. I understand this is the crux of Christianity and demands belief if one is to be saved. What bothers me about having to believe this is it demands we believe in magical thinking and plays on the human ability to believe in the unknown and superstition. The Bible (written by men) asks us to take a leap of faith that this actually happened in order for us to be Christians.

If archeologists actually discovered without a doubt the remains of Jesus, I would be more willing to believe in Christianity and the teachings of Jesus. He was an amazing humanitarian and understood our frailties.

Our brains can do remarkable things that appear to be magical. It's not unusual for someone to think they see a recently deceased loved one on the street or in a crowd. We hear their voices in our minds and want to believe they are communicating with us. What is real and what isn't? The Disciples could have been so distraught they may have felt it would make people feel better if they made up a story. How many parents have told their young children that their favorite pet has gone to heaven and is living there? Why do they do that? To keep the children from feeling their loss and to play on their ability to believe in magic.

The Bible and Christianity have very carefully laid out the path to heaven with answers to every question but it can't be done without the manipulation of our primitive and superstitious minds. There's no other aspect of our lives where it is acceptable to attribute an event or an artifact to anything other than fact. To make us believe in magic only under the Christian rules and call it "real" is hypocritical and almost a childish attempt to make sure of a win by changing the rules.

I suspect after paying for utilities and possibly a car loan the amount left to feed your family is very little.

Please, I hope you will fix the reply button.

How about just intelligent conversation? If the Pilot would fix the reply button then those people who want to attack each other can do it in the corner without the rest of us having to put up with it.

Martin Samchalk is trying to pull the wool over us thinking that fracking is safe. How can anyone believe something so foolish, there's so many documented disasters you'd have to be a hermit not to know that. As for the comment about jobs, all it will do is pour an influx of transient workers into our tourism infrastructure bringing with them higher crime rates, wear and tear on our roads and destruction to the beauty and lifestyle to North Carolinian's as we know it. If you think this will somehow benefit NC financially we don't even profit from the withdrawal of the gas under us except for the landowners if they have negotiated a contract without traps. It goes to the highest bidder probably overseas. Anyone who doesn't think Fracking is dangerous is an ignorant fool.

Everyone here, just ignore the ignorance of Spock and move on. I have a question about polygamy, is it always one man and many wives or can it also be one woman with many men?

Maybe if there were actually real business other than banks and real estate offices, there would be a need for more parking.

We have to get our car inspected before we can renew our tags, we have to buy car insurance before we can own a car, we have to take a drivers test to get our license..... Why shouldn't people have to take a drug test before they get their checks from the government? There is nothing discriminatory about making sure the money they get is used to help support the family, not go up in smoke. If they abuse the system then they loose the support. PERIOD!
