we pay armed civilians to guard our money at banks, we pay armed civilians to guard those at sporting events, we pay armed civilians to protect our elected officials, hell - we even pay armed civilians to guard the gates at military installations these days (how many of you knew that?!); but, we WON'T pay armed civilians to protect our children at school?
although i feel like im taxed enough already, i would GLADLY pay a little more in county, or state, tax in order to put trained, armed, civilians in my child's school!
We have armed guards at prisons, banks, stadiums, etc... Why can't we have them protecting our children at school? Many LEOs and military are retiring in their early 40s, why not offer them jobs protecting our most valuable assets - children?

Look up to your post when you were trying to retort to SLFP, and notice YOUR OWN spelling error when you wrote, "GENUS" - not only did you make yourself foolish looking, but you did so in the utmost way with the word you misspelled!
What's the saying, "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks"? Or is it, "the pot calling the kettle black"?
