The first sentence in your second paragraph explains exactly why Obama won the presidential election; he was elected because the country wanted the feel good story of electing the first black president, instead of electing the best man for the job - which would have been the logical thing to do.

to answer your question: a lot of hunters use 30 round MAGAZINES, not clips smart guy, even though hunting has NOTHING to do with the 2nd amendment :)

last post tonight before dinner, but here is my plan on controlling gun violence - just in case anyone on the left wants to have an actual valid conversation:
number1 - background checks on gun sales at gunshows
number2 - more accurate info passed from states to federal levels on buyers in ref. to eligibility
number3 - give Psychiatrists and Psychologists the ability to flag people temperarily while seeking treatment, if in their professional opinion they deem the person a danger to himself or others
number4 - pass legislation that SERIOUSLY punishes and deters criminals for ANY violent crimes commited with a firearm
@mooremedic - i agree with thatcher 100%. me and toda almost never agree, but politics aside - i think his post was sincere and honest.
also, while every hunter has his and her own set of ethics and chooses his and her caliber bullet to take the game of their choice, i would like to politley disagree with your comment that the AR15 is an "inferior rifle" to take deer effectively. i know for a fact, that the flat and fast shooting .223 or 5.56 will 100% drop a deer where they stand with proper shot placement - without a doubt.
is it the best choice for someone without adaquite (SP?) shooting skills, or is a .30-06 more suitable? that is a question that depends on the hunter's ethics.
(PS- it is also NOT illegal to hunt a deer with an AR15, as long as you're not in the Sandhills or Mineral Springs townships - but say in Carthage, for example, it is totally legal; again, it is the hunter's responsibility to check the LOCAL laws where they are hunting)
