Most taxpayers must take a drug test to be employed, why should the people who do not work and instead benefit from the work of those same taxpayers not be drug tested?

If you have enough money to buy drugs, you don't need public assistance, nor do you deserve it.

You can also rest assured that those offering resistance will be utterly ignorant of the extremely low risk fracking actually poses to the environment. We can all thank Josh Fox and his goofy, misleading documentary for that.

JJ - "Well... this story doesn't have a political bend to it... YET."

Clearly, there doesn't have to be a political bend to it for you to inject politics.

JimRussell44 - "I want to see you express, in print, your demand that every American has the right to possess ANY weapon currently in existence"

I believe every American does have that right. Why not?

JimRussell44 - "...my opposition to the semi-automatic weapons with high capacity ammunition magazines is based on the fact that they can fire large quantities of bullets in a short period of time."

A rifle with a 10-round magazine vs. a 30-round magazine is equally as capable of firing a high volume of ammunition in a short period of time. You add mere seconds to a massacre by forcing the shooter to reload a few times more, and since his victims are unarmed, it makes no difference.

Consider the VA Tech shooter, who committed the worst shooting massacre to date. He used a pair of handguns. It didn't matter that he had to reload a lot, because he simply chained the doors shut.

In contrast, if I am asleep in my home and a group of armed men breaks in, it makes a significant difference how many rounds are in that first magazine. It could very well mean the difference between life and death.

"Assault weapon" is a term contrived by gun control activists to deliberately conflate assault rifles (which have been banned for decades) with semi-automatic rifles.

A semi-automatic rifle becomes an assault weapon when you add a pistol grip or a fold-able stock, neither of which have any bearing on the lethality of the weapon. It is merely a tactic to garner public support for banning guns, as part of the overall strategy to ban all guns.

The Democratic party is actively preventing voter ID laws from being enacted, and voter rolls from being cleared of the deceased. The only reason for doing this is that they are genuinely worried that these actions will cause them to receive fewer votes.

The question you have to ask yourself is - why would the Democratic party be worried that removing dead people from voter rolls and requiring identification to vote will result in fewer votes for them?

ImaginaryManInTheSky, all people want is for it to be legal for responsible citizens to carry concealed weapons where there is no perpetual security presence.
