I just pulled up the tax records and plat for this property. The land has no waste land indicators instead it has a very small portion of this land coded as 04 -Residual - This describes all excess land on a site which is not coded as Primary, Secondary, Undeveloped, Waterfront, or Leased Land. It should be used primarily to describe any excess land on a commercial site which is not considered suitable for development purposes. If it were waste land then the realtor could be in trouble but if the government has it coded wrong how is it the homeowners or the realtor responsibility?
This is a shameful act of the previous owners, they know they have done wrong. However, this is a perfect example why buyers need to do their due diligence. I'm curious as to who their Realtor was?? I hope there is a way to fine the people who did this!

I'm glad these issues are getting out there. Micro-management is a big issue and I hope that Mr. Graner can keep this board under control!
