Pinehurst Officials Propose Parking Deck for Downtown
I have always had trouble finding a parking spot in the Village, NO I do not feel I have to park in front. I will park down by the library and walk if I have to. I just don't go down there anymore. There are lots of other places to eat and way more places to shop and other locations to bank. Maybe those of you who are finding it no problem are the ones who are driving your golf carts down there and using the special parking spots for the carts. Just sayin.

We've Got a New Dog
Congratulations on the newest member of your family. I hope the new handmade collar you got for her fits her like a charm! So happy to hear it worked out and that Holly has found a new loving home.

Parents Should Set a Better Example
Happily most of the parents around me did in fact pick up after their children but then again most of the parents around me were not allowing their children to simply open up the candy that had been thrown out to simply stuff it in their mouths. The fact that the mother just assumed someone else would pick up after her children was appauling to me. And I forgot to mention that where the parents both stood was both a trash barrel and recycle barrel.

Trick-or-Treating Varies Among Towns
I live in pinehurst where they tell homeowners what they can and can not do to or around their homes yet they allow the parents to decide when the kids can trick or treat, Please give me a break, Halloween is on Oct 31st not the 30th or whenever the parents allow these kids to go out. I just had a group of teenage girls at my door and our porch light wasn't even on! Lights on or off it doesn't matter to the kids. Come to my house on OCT 31st and I will have something for you but not before!

Mail Carriers Deserve More Recognition
These people have bid for these jobs! They knew what the job entailed when they bid for them!!!! When someone contracts me to do a job I have to do that job despite the weather conditions. I pay for all my own expenses not the person who has contracted me to do the job. I accepted the job knowing this first hand! I think the whole "contract" thing is a joke and Pinehurst should pay for our regular ole US postal carriers that wear a uniform and drive postal vehicles! A postal carrier was always a job of pride, a good paying job that people use to have to take a test to get now it goes to the lowest bidder....
I am appalled that these mail carriers, think it is okay to have a non contracted US Postal Carrier help them do their job! Our mail is federal property, it is a federal offense to tamper with mail, what makes it okay or a non contracted US postal carrier to deliver our mail? I wish I could bring my husband to work with me to help me do my work....
We are not talking about those pottery barn catalogues either, I think Dianne needs to find a new profession because obviously she can't handle the job she bid for and is paid to do!!!!
