Hey Kip D,
Spence said that with "all things considered," Moore County Schools' operating expenses should not be cut."
"These are expenses we use to pay our teachers, purchase learning materials, and run our schools," he said. "I believe that we should be funded as requested, with level operating expenses and an additional line item for $750,000."
So, level operating expenses AND an additional 750k. Seems like he is asking for 750k more money (or at least 375k than what the BOC has offered).
Instead of dropping a big old turd, maybe the BOC understands that throwing more money at our joke of an education system is not the right answer.
Get off my lawn!!!!
P.S. - FugitiveGuy, there is no comparison. David Lee Roth all the way!!!!
Congrats to you, LisaBrown!
You are correct about the traffic officers. Aberdeen has 4 officers whose salaries are paid, in part, from funds from the Governors Highway Safety Program. It is my understanding that because their salaries are paid in part by this grant, that their sole duty is to patrol the roadways.
They should just call the Town of Aberdeen. Have you seen how many police cars they have just sitting there?
"Local officials say it is a big deal to be able to count the Dedmans as residents of Pinehurst"
The gentleman and his family are residents of Dallas. Yes, they now own propery in the village but that does not equate to being a resident.
Good try Pinehurst.
Planes and golf. Sounds like the lifestyle of the rich to me..........
I have a hard time believing that the Moore County Airport is as crucial to the local economy as you make it out to be.
