I wonder why the our Attorney General and especially our political leaders (county commissioners) have not taken up this issue of gas charges per gal. It's not the Kingdom of Pinehurst or any other resort establishment fault. The Kangaroo gas station in Vass was .18 cents more per gal. than the same chain Kangaroo in Spring Lake (21 miles away). The difference in price per gal. even becomes more glaring when you drive to Southern Pines.
The other issues about Pinehurst (in my humble opinion) are based in deep racism. Pinehurst has always hid or abandon their poor...Look carefully no public housing, no annexing of poor communities, no assistance to same, insured control of what people that least can afford the housing standards they require in the exterritorial codes (further codified by our county commissioners in their land decisions) loud screaming "NO No not us" when the above is pointed out.
