I don't understand how those who are for the marriage amendment are called haters by those who oppose the amendment. Seems to me that you are hating on people yourself. It's like the pot calling the kettle black. I support the marriage amendment and am not ashamed of it , but I don't hate people for who they are. I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. Doesn't matter how many hate responses I receive. That is my belief. It's refreshing hearing a coach talk about how important his fellow coaches are and giving them credit for the teams success. That's a lesson a few of our Pinecrest coaches should learn.
Thanks to the Moore County School Police and Southern Pines Police for their quick action. I was told that the students were charged by the School police as well for having the weapons on property. I know a couple of people have questions whether or not BB guns are weapons, but the state law makes it very clear that they are and are not allowed on school property. As a parent I am pleased how quickly the officers were able to lockdown the school. I guess all of the practice drills are playing off. Thanks again for all you do to try and keep our children safe.
Sounds like the Mustangs must have a pretty strong team. Our Patriots are scheduled to play them on the 12th. Should be a good game and kudos the the Lady Mustangs for playing these much bigger schools.
Would someone please tell Charlie Bergmann that it is basketball season. I believe that all three high schools played Friday night and all he wants to publish is a look back at football. I have said it before and I will say it again. We had a losing record in football period. It makes us look bad to print in the paper that we had a tough schedule. It is what it is and I am tired of hearing about it. Please cover basketball.
I have a couple of problems with this article. Why would the pilot interview this man in the first place? Do you really think he is going to be honest with you? It's more like a gossip page in some cheap magazine. My second problem is simple. Why hasn't our local paper reported about the assault that took place at our middle school in Aberdeen? From what I was told two men assaulted another man with a bat last Saturday at some event. I know for a fact that Aberdeen police charged two men in the attack. It seems the Pilot has no problem reporting bad things in the other end of town but shy's away from things in our own back yard. This paper shpuld be ashame.
We had a losing record. I am sure the coach is a nice guy but don't mistake being nice with great coaching, and taking cheap shots at the old coach is childish. This county has some great coaches and maybe someday Metzger will be one of them, but he is not in the same league with some of the Moore County legends. John Frye, Sammy McNeill, Nate Carter, Carl Salmon, Mike Apple and many more. I only know two of the personally and I can assure you that they wouldn't be so happy with a losing record. I mean "get real."
