The Council had a committee stand up to their grand plans and so they plan to eliminate them, it's that simple. Mr Parson seems to be all knowing and cannot stand anyone questioning his opinion. too bad he has never really been elected to the Council, just appointed by friends.

The legal fees the taxpayers incurred because of the Council's apeal was $33,000 not $1,300. Taxpayers have very deep pockets in Pinehurst.

Wow, talk about not being able to do anything right to the Obama haters, now we are down to putting your hands in your pockets when you walk! Unbelievable!

I wonder why a new retail building is being built next to Staples when the retail space next to the store is empty. Makes no sense to me.

Excellent letter Mr. Strickland and great suggestions from jimt. Send these off to our congressman (oops that will do no good since they are in the pockets of the NRA). The gun crazies will obect of course, no compromise there.

Wonderful that the Pinehurst Police were able to have some groups raise and donate $540 for police equipment when the village just spent $33,000 on lawyers to fight within there own councils and have a budget of over $16 million. Strange set of priorities by the village administration. Wasting fortunes on paving over a parking lot and hiring endless consultants but no money for the police department??????

@kzowens, Unfortunatly I suspect that in reality Senator Burr really is as ignorant as his statement makes him out to be. He is also a member of the party of "no". Nuff said

It is well known that the first stage in grief is shock and denial. Maybe when Mr. Jacobs and others move on to later stages they will be able to work with all of us to make a better country. Until then I guess we will have to endure their rage and hope that someday they will see that we are all in this together and these stages are counter productive.
