“And it turns out to be LESS than $5 a year per taxpayer” Yes, but that is just one item on the list. How many $5 items can the tax payers afford? $5 here, $5 there, soon it will add up to real money. Everyone thinks their favorite project adds so little to all that money that the government has. But, it is not the Governments money. Sure the Government can print more but that just make what little the tax payer gets to keep worth less.
For some who claim to care so much for the tax payer you do not mind taking and wasting their hard earned money.
It is amazing how many "progressives" listen to Limbaugh and watch Fox News. How else would they know so much about what is said there? It can't be that they, being so much more intelligent than the rest of us, would just parrot what others say or just take hearsay for the truth.
AP - Well done. But I must ask. Do you think that if the US and Russia took their toys and went home, the world would be at peace? I do not but I do wish we would just come home and let the rest of the world stand on its own.
The Big Government types, Left and Right are alike. They want to control us. Join union not join a union it is the same, the government telling us what we can or should do. When will both sides see that the Government is the same, Nixon through Obama, no difference? Only the lead actor changes. The Government gets bigger just a new clown heading the show. Has been so, will be so.
There is no right to wed. If you have to ask permission, it is not a right. It should be a right and government should have no say in the matter.
AP - It is not lack of education. They know what what they are doing. They just keep chipping away at The Constitution from every angle. Sooner or later they will have enough convinced to just toss it away.
When will the Republican voters realize that their party has become basically Democrat Lite. Those in the party that actually believe in less government should leave it. It is not what you think it to be. Those in the Democrat party should also take a better look at your own. Don't take for granted what you are being told is so.
The best thing for both parties is for the members to register as Independents. But that will never happen.
Can someone explain? Military-style assault weapons. Are these military weapons or weapons that look like military weapons? What is the difference? What makes a weapon an assault weapon, how it looks or how it's used? What keeps any weapon or anything from being an assault weapon? How are we to believe you can keep any weapon out of the hands of a low life by just saying they can’t have them?
Guns are not legally available to anyone who wants one. They are illegally available to anyone though. No matter what law, ban or confiscation you attempt, criminals will get guns. There is also that pesky southern border that no one wants to close. If they can smuggle drugs and entire families they can surely sneak in a gun or two.
For some reason you folks seem to be under the belief that the military and law enforcement will fall lock step or goose step behind a government that steps too far over the line. How do yo know that it would not be they that begin the rebellion? Tyrants may not have the muscle they think when it hits he fan. No, citizens will not need to keep weapons to take over the government. I do not believe they are that stupid to try. What the citizens may need their weapons for is self protection when the Bloated Wart Hog that is our government falls under its own weight. When the checks no longer come and the little plastic card no longer works, the zombies will get a little restless. Riots are ugly things.
