Mozambique is 100% spot on about the outside of the gym...can you picture dozens of 60 plus seniors coming in and out of body shop? I'm a member of First Health and have spoken to people (seniors and women) about switching to a cheaper gym and the ones I talked to boils down to them not feeling safe/comfortable at Body Shop OR Golds Gym. Maybe those aren't fair assumptions but it's straight from the consumers mouth.
Waffle House coming to Southern Pines is a huge mistake... crime scene waiting to happen every night, and located conveniently close to the apartments on Murry Hill Road YES!.
I've always felt like Pinehurst and Whispering Pines should be protected for their charm and make Southern Pines and Aberdeen into the retail/restaurant and entertainment giants. I wouldn't worry about downtown Southern Pines because of it's unique niche of shopping, nightlife, and park.
Donj where are the luxury new apartments going...are they off on US-1?
Dear Village of Pinehurst, INSTALL STREET LIGHTS! This will more than likely never happen due to costs but after sundown Village Acres turns into a giant dark cave. We often walk our dogs night and I have literally been 5-10 feet away from another walker/jogger before I even knew they were there.
