The ridiculous pants-down-around-the-knees craze knows no color. Degenerates of every race embrace the look. I don't particularly care if someone wants to look like they are so poor that all they have are oversized hand-me-downs, or that their belt was confiscated and they are doing the jail shuffle. I just shake my head and chuckle at NC kids playing make-believe that they live in Compton.
I would suggest any parent allowing their child to sport this look is immediately setting the child up for failure. That is the parent's right, of course. Some parents seem to take great pleasure in ensuring their children are doomed, and go to great lengths to eliminate every possible opportunity for success.
Of course, legislation regulating this absurd look is uncalled for--we need less government intrusion into our personal lives. I think everyone has the right to look as ridiculous as they choose.
Still, if you choose to look like a thug and act like a thug, you should not be terribly surprised when people treat you like a thug.
