Sounds as if the left has already called the election. Must be a wrap.
Still, part of me wonders, if this thing is a lock, why is the President spending so much time, money, and energy campaigning and hardly any...you know...leading the country?
JR:
I didn't vote for him, so he's not my president. I never knew it worked that way until the Bush administration, when I learned that rule right here on The Pilot. Handy now that I get to use it.
As to the rest of your post, when Nixon enters the 2012 election, I'll worry about his record. As it stands right now, only one candidate has blood on his hands from illegal weapons sales. Care to guess which one?
I carry (or am within arm’s reach of) at least one weapon almost at all times.
I reserve the use of my weapons for those instances when someone or something threatens me or my family, and retreat is not an option.
I take active steps to avoid scenarios where I might be forced to use a weapon.
I believe (and most certainly hope) that I will never need to use a weapon to defend myself or my family.
Hope is not a course of action, and I allowing something preventable to happen to a member of my family because I permitted myself to succumb to the false sense of security provided by the seeming serenity of a quiet county would be inexcusable.
I’ve known some tough guys who opt to defend their family with their brawn. I’ve known some smart guys who opt to defend their family with their wits. A few of those guys are now dead.
Society is rapidly going down the toilet. The kind old people on your block may bake you cookies and wave as they walk by with their toy poodles, but there are at least two dozen piles of human trash within a five mile radius of your house that would shoot you in the face for three dollars if provided the opportunity.
We are experiencing outsourcing. Fayetteville is spilling over into Moore, and they aren’t prowling Pinebluff for stuff to steal and people to rob. They know where the money is, and the money is in Pinehurst and Southern Pines. Don’t ask The Pilot or the town council—they have a vested interest in making the area out to be safer than it is. Ask a cop.
I don’t care if you think I am foolish or paranoid for doing what I do; I have to live with the choices I make.
I think you are foolish and delusional for doing what you do; you have to live with the choices you make.
Mr. Gray, at this point it is like standing in front of your burning house and--when the fire truck pulls into your driveway--asking the firemen why they think they are best qualified to put out the fire. That you don't see that is exactly what is wrong with our public education system.
I would have so much more respect for people like Bainchild7 if they just said they were pro-infanticide instead of masking the murder under the label of pro-choice. It's just so dishonest. Just come out and say it--you think killing babies is a good idea.
I'll think you are inhuman--hint: I already do--but at least I could consider you an honest animal.

This sums it up pretty well, even in Pinehurst: http://www.corneredcat.com/Why_the_Gun_is_Civilization/

Three people were shot in Southern Pines this week.
How many were hit by lightning?

Does the Punishment Fit the Crime?
An idiot can do far more damage with a ballot than he can with a bullet--our current situation providing ample proof.
