County, Vets Hold Talks on Memorial Issue
Courseaire, The memorial is being pushed by Veterans as a sacred site that our brothers gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country.... a remembrance of a place where families can go to reflect, think and the public can do as well. Its kinda ironic that in Moore County where alot of military, both active and retired live, the non military, don't see it that way. Think of it this way, If your loved ones are in a cemetary or place of reflection would you want to hear "how may I take your order" ? What do the Vets want built there? Nothing for starters, however, if something is to be built for "progress" then have some compassion for what the MEMORIAL actually is. Taking $ from some corporate conglomorate that has no vested interest in the communitee with the exception of the almighty $$ in return is not the way to go!
