Due to Moore Humane's action, that puppy was safely and legally removed from the premises and placed for adoption. That puppy is now a cherished and loved member of a family in Moore County

There are many animals that pass through your doors that experience love and the fact that somebody cares for them. Many of those animals are lucky and get the healthcare and a forever home they deserve. Some of those poor unfortunate victims come to Moore Humane in such a sad state that no matter what care is given, it is too late. Moore Humane not only administers the help and care, they are also strong advocates regarding animal welfare. This organization is extremely important to this community. The staff of Moore Humane works tirelessly. It is a thankless job and they do it why...because they care. There are many animals that pass through those doors that make a difference to someone out there. How many of you in Moore County have been touched and blessed by a rescue pet? They bring so much comfort and joy. How could anyone resist a poochie smooch from one of those puppy black labs or a kitty kiss from Turbo?? There are many more out there that need you. Moore Humane needs your help to continue it's life saving efforts. How can you help?? Donate time, food, cleaning supplies, blankets, money or most important...love.
Sorry Courseaire...you are not correct. The Humane Society was supposed to meet with the Pilot to discuss the story but the Pilot already printed it. You really shouldn't believe everything your read!! Next!!!

Hey Pilot, how about printing some of the positive things that Moore Humane brings to this community. Hey Pilot, how about the cooler that was left on the doorstep at Moore Humane during the night about two weeks ago. Hey Pilot, do you know what was in that cooler? How about 6 black lab puppies approximately 6 weeks old. Hey Pilot, do you know how Moore Humane handled that?? Well, the puppies were taken in and vetted and are now in foster homes. Hey Pilot, do you know where those puppies will go after foster care? Hey Pilot, how about they will be transported to Charlotte to the Biffle Foundation(yes Greg Biffle-NASCAR great). From there, the Biffle transport will take those and other puppies to the North Shore Animal League in NY to be adopted.
Hey Pilot, did you know that Moore Humane takes puppies has them vetted and transports them every few months to the Biffle Transport? Hey Pilot, guess how many puppies avoid euthanasia because of Moore Humane transporting them to Biffle? Hey Pilot, do you know what the Humane Society deals with on a daily basis? How about injured strays, surrender of animals, distressing calls of animal abuse and neglect, adoptions, emergencies and oh, having to survive without the help of tax dollars!! Hey Pilot, did you know the driving force behind all of these things has given 20+ years of her life to see that Moore Humane continues its good work? Hey Pilot, did you know that Moore Humane spays/neuters/vets/trains/shelters/saves hundreds of cats/dogs per year?

Hey, how does it feel to stick a needle into an innocent animal with euthanasia solution while you are breeding and bringing more dogs into the community. Especially a breed that is one of the most euthanized dogs in the state. Moore Humane has been helping and rescuing homeless dogs for over 20 years and with "NO" tax dollars like county run facilities. Shame on you for taking this opportunity to pounce. . Poor JP. What on earth was this small dog doing wandering around by himself. Where are his owners? Animal abuse comes in all forms. Owners that fail to provide their beloved pet with heartworm preventative, are committing animal abuse. Don't own a pet if you can't provide the proper food, shelter and medical care.
