I think blatant false accusations that tie up resources should be criminally prosecuted. That is two wasted trips to Carthage for false reports.
Attacking a disabled person is far enough off the path already for me. Learning from mistakes and doing what he did are very far apart. I bet you wouldn't have that opinion if it was a disabled person in your household he attacked. It takes a real man to assault a disabled person. I don't care that he "is a kid", I know what would happen if I was on the jury.
Once again, another future resident of the new jail/ prison.
If a story about a firedepartment extricating a young boy from a swing is getting people's blood boiling, I say this country is already done for. There truly is no hope.
As long as some are pointing out their choices for president, I would encourage everyone to honestly take a look at Herman Cain. If he runs, he has my support.
It is articles like this that keep the racial divide going in America. I thought this "Hope and Change" was supposed to unite the USA, not divide it nearly to the point it was in the 50's and 60's. As long as the race pimps on both sides are given forums to spout off their "intelligence" and the dumb masses of people fall for it, this country will never get over the racial divide that has engulfed us as deeply as it ever has.
Shooting insults back and forth on this forum will never get anything accomplished either. Having a genuine debate of facts is healthy, but nobody has ever referenced a truly nonbiased news source on here. All the so called journalists nowadays have an agenda to support. It does not matter which side you are on. DRUDGE REPORT, DAILYKOS, FOXNEWS, MSNBC all have a stake in which side of the news they present. Investigate both sides, realize BOTH SIDES are feeding you half truths - half lies, and use your own common sense to decide for yourselves. Regurgitating the same old things you hear on TV and on the radio adds nothing to the discussions.
As for my opinion, I was brought up to do for yourself and don't rely on others to do it for you. You will always be disappointed if you rely on others. The constituion grants you the right to PURSUE life, liberty, and happiness. It does not guarantee it and it does not give the federal government power to make sure that everything is "fair" for all.
Did TODA threaten someone on a public forum with assault? Not very wise for someone who calls others "ignorant". That is a clear violation of the posting rules and may be a violation of the law.
Ed, this "economic pile up", began when the congress under Bill Clinton's direction decided that everyone in the USA 'DESERVES" to buy a house whether or not they could afford it. They created laws that required lending instituions to approve mortgages to those who could not afford a $500,000 house on their $35,000 salary. The lending instituions are partly to blame for packaging these bad mortgages and selling them speculatively between each other. Then of course, the taxpayers are on the hook because, government run (that says enough right there) Fannie and Freddie, swallowed these up to bolster this notion that the government was going to make sure everyone gets a "FAIR" shake in owning a house.
For EVERYONE's Information, but especially for Ed, It is not the governments job to "CREATE" private sector jobs. The definition of a government created private sector does not exist. The private sector creates private sector jobs. The government creates waste it calls "investing". Government CAN create an environment that allows the private sector to create private sector jobs but that is something that this administration knows NOTHING about. Taxes upon taxes upon taxes does NOT create jobs. It kills the incentive for the private sector to invest in itself which does create jobs. Bottom line, the government, no matter who is in charge, DOES NOT CREATE PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS.
The problem is that the powerful teacher's unions don't allow individual teachers to be held accountable for their poor OR good performance. Until the special interest unions are done away with, no facet of our lives, including education will be up to standard.
