I have traveled extensively and everywhere I go, I look for good food, But if you called me tonight and ask me out to dinner I would hope that ment we were going to The Lob Steer Inn here in Southern Pines. For one, it is very important to support our locally owned businesses, But just as important is good food. Because I like good food you can often find me eating in the locally owned places in the Southern Pines area, but my favorite is The Lob Steer Inn. In all the places I've eaten I have never had BBQ Ribs as good as the ribs at the Lob Steer Inn, The seafood and steaks are also really good. The salad bar is better than any I've seen, and the staff and management are second to none. Just over a year ago I ask 40 of my best friends to have dinner with me for my birthday and I took them to the Lob Steer Inn. I received the same level of service for a group that size that I receive when I eat there alone. When we were done eating "our" food everyone I talked to said it was perpared perfectly, and "our" service was great. Thank You Lob Steer Inn and I hope to see you all again soon.

I have been here on several occasions and have had a not so great dinner. We sat at the bar the last time and I wish we would have known how great Adam the bartender was and that is where would have gone form the get go. Laura was are server one time and she was great and very sweet but I suggest sitting at the bar if you can. The steak I orderd was way over cooked for a medium rare and way to much sauce ( it was thier bourbon steak). My husband had fish and it was rather good a bit over priced but good! We might return when we have friends in town who enjoy this place but for this local that is the only time we will come.
