For those of you that do not know me, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

Design has always been a part of my life. From the time I was very young, growing up on Long Island, NY, my days were spent rearranging my bedroom, creating arts and crafts projects as gifts for my family and writing short stories and poems. Art and design are an intricate piece of my life.

My parents, being the guiding hand for me and my sister, gave us choices for extra curricular activities. My choice was to play the flute and go to an art school. Being exposed to the fine arts was truly a magnificent experience and I knew that this was my path.

Like many of you reading this, life happens and our dreams get set aside. I spent time being a mother, wife and provider for my family, all the while searching for avenues to express my inner designer. You can guess that my family never knew what to expect when they opened the doors to the house. Just like when I was a child, I rearranged my home so many times, my children joked that our furniture should be on wheels.

“That day” finally came! I landed a job in a corporate design store.

After 5 years at Ethan Allen, I found myself looking for something less “corporate” and more personal. I sought and found a smaller company. This company did same day make-overs. Here, I found my niche within the design realm.

Now many years later, I am creating design concepts that reflect the true desires of the clients I have had the pleasure to work with.

After practicing the art of interior design for over 15 years, I can still say I am happy and excited about each and every project.

Whether it is a large project or small project and whether I am using what the client owns or adding new pieces…….I still love my work!

My design background is well rounded and has included studies in the fine arts, such as sculpting, painting (many mediums) and jewelry design. My interior design training with Ethan Allen provides knowledge of craftsmanship, woods, fabrics, cushion contents, carpets, window treatments, flooring options, outdoor furnishings, leather grades, and space planning. My experiences with the clients have taught me to listen and give back a home they are proud of and want to share with others.

The designs that I create reflect the client style preference, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I believe that a well designed space should be easy to live in and easy to use.

Over the past decade I have enjoyed finding unique but affordable pieces to add into my clients’ décor. I spend a lot of time on this aspect because I believe that each one of my clients is unique and is looking for something truly “their own.”

As for me, I enjoy all styles of design, from contemporary, eclectic, traditional, European and global. My love for this work is unconditional and unlimited.
