Language arts teacher Lisa Elliott had her head shaved by hairstylist Nichole Jenkins during an after-school event at Crains Creek Middle School May 3. In what possible way does posting this 911 call provide a "public service"? And that your newspaper would "bullet" a link, in the context of the front page article about the dismissal of the case, to encourage people to listen to this heartbreaking, painful worst night of a family's life is incomprehensible. It panders to those with perverse curiousity and diminishes your newspaper. I know members of this family and what you are doing can only be fueled by greed to sell newspaper and your product. If someone truly wants to exercise their "public" right to hear this...than let them go to the 911 office and get their own tape. The Pilot is treading on the edge of the likes of The Enquirer. Shameful.
